Producer Suresh Babu might be known for his business acumen. He might have strong foothold in film production, distribution. Yet, even he is not an exception when dealing with the film business and anyone could go wrong in their predictions. Here's one such classic example where Suresh Babu failed in judging a film's result in advance and due to which he had to lose over Rs 10 Crore.

Back in 2013, ace producer D Ramanaidu had forayed into Punjabi filmdom with Singh Vs Kaur under Suresh Productions. Made on a shoe-string budget, the film was due for release. It's then Suresh Babu stepped and sold off the whole film for Rs 5 Crore pocketing a decent profit of Rs 3 Crore. Selling Punjabi films at Rs 5 Crore in 2013 was fancy price and Suresh was quite happy in closing the deal. However, it didn't last long. As soon as the film hit the screens, the movie opened to superhit talk. Taking many by surprise, the film made over Rs 16.80 Crore world-wide in its full run.

The film had then defeated other Bollywood releases like Kai Po Che, Zilla Ghaziabad in the second week in Punjab. Then Punjab's highest grosser, even today the film is one of the top grossing films in Punjab. That's how Suresh Babu had lost nearly Rs 11 Crore. Even today, Suresh Babu must be regretting the decision.
