Police Roles Poor Choice for Mega Family:

Annayya Chiranjeevi, Tammudu Pawan Kalyan and Abbayi Ram Charan have all met with more or less similar fate when it came to their Bollywood debut. And the coincidence is that all the three stars have essayed cop roles in their Hindi debuts respectively. Chiranjeevi had made his B-town debut in 1990 with Pratibandh which was the remake of Telugu classic Ankusam. The film featuring Chiru and Juhi Chawla wasn't as success as its original though Chiru managed to get noticed in Bollywood land with the film.

Whereas the situation of Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan is much more disturbing. Pawan forayed into Hindi with the dubbed version of his Sardaar Gabbar Sigh. With a wide-release, many thought Pawan would pull it off. But contrary to it, the film failed to meet the expectations.

Ram Charan went a step further in his B-town debut and learnt a hard lesson. He attempted to do a Amitabh Bachchan with his very maiden film. And the end result is something that is not acceptable. Charan, who did the remake of his cult classic Zanjeer, tasted a dud. Named after the iconic film, Zanjeer was declared as a disaster. Calling it a 'putrid copy', critics lamented Ram Charan for the poor remake and spoiling the Amitabh's Zanjeer memories which audiences wanted to cherish for the rest of their lives.

There's no denying that Chiru, Pawan and Charan have delivered blockbusters in Telugu essaying powerful roles. However, when it comes to their Bollwyood debuts, the mega heroes seem to have chosen a wrong choice. Unlike in Telugu, they're not a mass heroes in Hindi. So, doing a cop roles don't fetch like they do in home turf. PK's latest Sardaar is an alarming bell, where stars should sit and take notice of the choices they make while going places. Else, it not only affects their individual image but also projects the Telugu cinema in poor light.
