This Fools' Day, eccentric director Ram Gopal Varma's intense action drama Attack released after being delayed since last year. Typical of all RGV films, even though the trailer looked promising, the film disappointed the audiences and critics alike and trade circles termed it a damp squib.

With Attack's debacle, Ram Gopal Varma achieved a rare and forgettable record. Perhaps RGV is the only director who gave disasters to all the actors from a single family. The family that shared this ridiculous record feat is the Manchu family.

RGV first teamed up with Lakshmi Manchu for his experimental DSLR film Dongala Mutha. The film made a lot of buzz during its release, but was a box-office turkey. Then, RGV joined hands with Manchu Vishnu and his father Mohan Babu for Rowdy, which also tanked heavily. RGV-Vishnu's Anukshanam too was a flop venture. Wonder who will fall prey to RGV's mediocrity next.
