Shruti Disappoints Director!

Shruti Haasan walking out of Oopiri in the last-minute is something that makers couldn't digest it yet. Especially the way Shruti opted out a day before the beginning of film's shoot left makers in a tight spot. Visibly upset, director Vamshi talks on Shruti's quitting from the project. He shared, "What Shruti did is definitely not a welcome thing. She said she didn't have dates. But she told us only a day before the film's shoot. We all were shocked as we were fully prepared to shoot the film."

However, director Vamshi and producer PVP overcome this in no time as they zeroed in on Tamannah. "Tamannah is apt choice. She pulled it off very well. Her looks, presence made a great difference. The chemistry between Karthi and Tamannah is something to look out for. Oopiri deals with friendship. Nagarjuna sir and Karthi's bonding is the film's USP."

Ask Vamshi why he's taking so much gap from film to film. He reverts, "If I do back-to-back movies, you (media) only say that Vamshi is wrapping films quickly. If I take time, you (media) say other way. But ultimately, our last offing remains. So I don't mind taking time for making a good movie. All we need is to come up with good film and Oopiri is an answer."

Talking about his next film with Akhil, Vamshi says nothing is finalised as of now but talks are going on. "Everything will shape up only after Oopiri. There're lot of things happening but nothing concrete at the moment," says Vamshi.
